The renovation of the American Place Theatre was a was a gut renovation and complete fit out with all new MEP systems. This space is now known as the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. The theatre houses a main stage with 425 seats and a separate 74-seat Black Box theatre / rehearsal space. In this project, we were able to add a balcony with 74 additional seats to the existing main theatre. This addition required extensive structural, sightline and code analysis.
